The main feature here is obviously a circle of log seats around a central fireplace. The Yellowwood to the left of the entrance was planted by Lady Baden-Powell in 1936. A replacement to the Yellowwood planted by Lord Baden-Powell was planted by members of a Tutor Course run in 1990.

Just beyond Lady B-P’s tree is a birdbath which was built by the 2nd Gilwell Rover Crew and handed over on 9 April 1957 to commemorate 50 years of Scouting. Nearby is the base of the flagpole erected by 1st Inanda Scout Group for Baden-Powell Camp to celebrate their Golden Jubilee.
A recent feature is an impressive parabolic gateway entrance to the campfire circle built by the Pietermaritzburg Square Law Rover Crew in February 2020.
