On rainy & overcast days the PV Solar system batteries may be depleted to the point whereby the generator needs be used. Should any electrical appliances/equipment be needed to operate with guaranteed uninterrupted power, it is the patron's responsibility to liaise with the Camp Warden to arrange & make provision for any generator fuel they need. (It uses +/- 3L Diesel/hr). Stoves are gas driven & all hot water for kitchen/wash-up areas, bathrooms & showers are supplied via gas driven geysers. Because BP Scout Camp does not have a "REFUSE COLLECTION SERVICE", All refuse generated by patrons is to be removed/taken from BP Camp and the Burman Bush Nature Reserve, BY THE PATRONS/CAMPERS upon departure. Your booking request shall be confirmed once the BP Scout Camp warden verifies, in writing via e-mail, that your request can be accommodated. The warden shall also attach a “Proforma Invoice/Quote info” doc. with the aforementioned “confirmation e-mail”, which is to be completed and returned ASAP. Also included will be the BP Scout Camp “Rates Card”, to assist with calculating the relevant costs pertaining to the camp booking. Your reservation can/will be secured by paying the “SECURITY DEPOSIT” to secure your Booking/Reservation. READ ALL THE INFO on your “Proforma Invoice” when completing it, and return it to the warden ASAP. Where required, a refundable “Security/Breakages Deposit” is charged and payable together with the “Booking Deposit”.
